Gamma Chi Chapter UpdatePRESS RELEASE DELTA SIGMA PHI CLOSES ITS CHAPTER AT DREXEL UNIVERSITY INDAINAPOLIS, IN (March 17,2008) Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity announced today that its Grand Council has revoked the charter of its Gamma Chi Chapter at Drexel University for non-compliance with the Delta Sigma Phi Policy on Responsibility and Accountability. The chapter will be closed immediately. Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity's Gamma Chi Chapter at Drexel University was originally chartered in 1956. "Delta Sigma Phi expects that all chapters and members comply with our risk management policies," stated Executive Director Scott Wiley. "Chapters and members who blatantly disregard those policies have made a conscious decision to ignore the Fraternity's principles and ideals." Nationally, Delta Sigma Phi was founded on December 10, 1899 at the City College of New York. Today, Delta Sigma Phi has 4,500 undergraduate members at more than 107 chapters and colonies across the United States. The Fraternty has initiated over 110,000 men since its founding.
